Motorola Edge 50 Neo to Get the Android 16 OS Update Next Month in January 2026, Confirms Motorola India
The August 2024-released Motorola Edge 50 Neo smartphone is now revealed to get the Android 16 OS update next month in the Indian market. This has been confirmed by Motorola India itself.

Motorola Edge 50 Neo – Android 16 OS Update
Back in 2024, when Motorola’s Edge 50 Neo was officially unveiled, the device came equipped with the Android 14 OS out of the box, along with a 5-year OS upgrade promise. Keeping up its promise, the brand rolled out the Android 15 OS update early this year (in India), and the next Android 16 OS update will be offered soon to the Motorola Edge 50 Neo smartphone users.
As a reply to a user’s concern about the Android 16 update for Motorola Edge 50 Neo, Motorola India has informed that the roll-out process is already underway and there won’t be any sort of delays. Additionally, the brand also added that software updates are rolled-out in phases and that too based on other factors like extensive testing, regional certifications, and deployment timelines. Considering the current update cycle, Motorola India intends to release the Android 16 OS update for the Motorola Edge 50 Neo smartphone users by the end of next month in January 2026.
Looking into a few other related updates, the launch of the Motorola X70 Air Pro smartphone has been announced to take place soon in China, and this device was recently confirmed to sport a periscope telephoto camera sensor. For Indian customers, the Motorola Signature series has been teased, and its design and camera aspects were recently pointed out via Flipkart. In the global market, the Moto G Power (2026) was unveiled two weeks back and around the same time, Motorola’s Edge 70 was brought out in India as well.
