Microsoft Releases its Windows 11 2025 Update: Now Available to Users and Rolling-Out Using Servicing Technology

Microsoft’s Windows 11 2025 Update – Officially Released
The latest Windows 11 2025 update that has now been released will be delivered to users as an enablement package (eKB), and it makes use of a shared code base and servicing branch to streamline the update roll-out. As a result of this, more new features will be brought to Windows users as part of the monthly updates. With respect to Microsoft’s Secure Future Initiative, security features will also be improved. In addition to these, advancements are brought to build and runtime vulnerability detection, and it is coupled with AI assisted secure coding. Also, aligning with the security development life-cycle (SDL) policy and requirements, the latest update addresses and mitigates security threats. Legacy features like PowerShell 2.0 and Windows Management Instrument command-line (WMIC) have been removed too, making the update leaner.
As mentioned above, the update will be delivered by using servicing technology, and this will assure a fast and reliable installation experience. It has already been made available, and the roll-out will be taking place in a controlled manner to eligible Windows 11-running devices. To note, if any sort of issue is detected on a user’s system, the update will be put on hold and it will only be rolled out after it gets resolved. Moreover, the update is also available through Windows Autopatch and Microsoft 365 admin center, and the commercial functionality consists of features such as WiFi 7 for enterprise connectivity and ability to remove pre-installed Microsoft Store apps for IT admins. Regarding the known issues, trouble playing certain BluRay/DVD/Digital TV applications and update failure for updates installed via WUSA (from a shared folder) are two issues that have been identified in the latest Windows 11 2025 update or Windows 11 version 25H2. Both of these are now mitigated as well, reducing the intensity.
