Microsoft Releases its August 2025 Non-Security Preview Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2: Now Available to Users

August 2025 Non-Security Preview Update – Now Available for Windows 11 Version 23H2

Microsoft’s August 2025 non-security preview update (KB5064080 – OS Build 22621.5840) that has now been made available for Window 11 Version 23H2 users, has made Windows Backup for Organizations generally accessible – offering enterprise-grade backup and restore. With this new solution, users will be able to sustain productivity thanks to minimal disruption, business continuity, and organizational resilience. The Copilot key’s reliability has also been improved with this update, and an issue with restarting Copilot has been fixed.

Other changelogs include updating profiles for certain mobile operators, fixing an issue which caused inaccuracy in blocking external devices (like USB flash drives and memory sticks), and also a fix for an issue where the ‘Ask to Use’ approval prompt did not pop up while opening blocked apps (when the Family Safety settings are enabled). Additionally, a few other fixes with respect to the file system, input, narrator, network connectivity, and remote desktop are also part of the update.

To find this latest update, users can go to the Windows Update settings by opening ‘Settings’ and selecting ‘Windows Update’. Then tap on ‘Check for updates’ to get the update.
