Lumio completes Android 14 update for all its Lumio Vision TVs launched in 2025 with Android 11; Update for Lumio Arc Projectors slightly delayed
In February 2026, Lumio announced that all new Lumio TVs will ship with Android 14, while the upgrade was being rolled out for the existing Lumio TVs as well. Additionally, it was also revealed that this update will be released for the Lumio Arc Projectors in March.
Well, it is now revealed that Lumio has completed the Android 14 update for all of its Lumio Vision TVs, which were launched with Google TV based on Android 11 in 2025.

It is further mentioned that the rollout of the Android 14 upgrade for Lumio Arc Projectors is taking slightly more time than estimated previously. But the company has started the efforts towards this and is expected to soon make the announcement for the rollout of Android for Lumio Arc Projectors.

The Android 14 upgrade makes the setup process quite easy. It utilises Android instant apps and iOS App Clips, allowing users to complete the initial setup by scanning a QR code on the TV screen. There are various changes made in the user interface. This update creates a unified layout for settings for a cleaner visual experience, and the system interface is now updated with Google’s latest material design language, like rounded icons, smoother animations, etc. Even the error message appearance is also changed in Android 14.
Android 14 introduces three new energy saving modes- low (turns off all network activities when your TV is asleep), optimised (wakes your TV up for network activities like Google Cast), and increased (always keeps your TV connected to the internet). There is also a new Power On behaviour feature that allows the TV to boot directly into the last used input. This feature is helpful for those who use set-top boxes or gaming consoles.
This upgrade boasts a Quick Connect feature that allows guests at your place to connect to your home network via QR code rather than typing the password manually. It now comes with colour correction profiles for users with colour blindness. The update offers the January 2026 Google security patch.
