Infinix officially introduces XOS 16 based on Android 16; Glow Space Design, Smooth animations, Redesigned icons and more

Last month, Infinix listed some of the features of its latest XOS 16 custom skin on the Infinix India website, and it was assumed that the company would be unveiling this upgrade soon.

As expected, Infinix has officially introduced XOS 16 based on Android 16. It brings new personalisation options, AI features and smoother taps.

XOS 16 unveiled

This latest custom skin is said to provide an experience that feels alive. It features a bold UI inspired by light and space, with Glow Space design bringing fluid depth to every screen. Users can enjoy smoother animations with Liquid motion and Natural depth. Redesigned icons with a fresh and modern look provide a cleaner and more expressive feel.

XOS 16 gives cinematic depth with sharp objects and soft blur. With the new personalisation options available, you can turn your photos into expressive 3D wallpapers, reimagine yourself in playful artistic styles with Anime & Doodle. The AI Theme Generator feature generates a theme for your device from Image-to-Image, Image-to-Theme, and Text-to-Image. You can now assign 30+ apps or functions to the One-tap AI button available on Infinix smartphones for instant access to camera, flashlight, recorder, and more.

This custom skin boasts numerous AI features- AI Suggestions (app suggestions based on usage), AI Note, AI Recording Summary, Flash Memo, AI Call Assistant (real-time call translation, automatic call summaries, AI auto-answer), Circle to Search, AI for Students (AI Problem Solving, AI Scan to Doc, AI Translate, AI Writing), AI Photography (AI Eraser, AI Extender, AIGC Portrait).

Users can enjoy the X-Arena gaming experience with performance modes (low-power, balance, boost), Bypass charging, and Anti-interference gaming. There is also a Magic Voice Changer 2.0 that lets you switch and fine-tune voice profiles during gaming.

There is a Transfer for iPhone feature that uses NFC to send photos to Apple devices. XOS 16 also introduces a new Mind Hub- an AI-powered space that organises content intelligently. You can store memos, reminders, dates, and addresses, and sort them in this particular space. There is also Touch Optimisation for rain and waterproof bags, and even Sweaty Hand Recognition. Other smart features include- Floating Window, Split Screen, IR Blaster, and Find My Phone.

Availability

XOS 16 will come pre-installed in future Infinix devices, while the current and previous eligible Infinix models will receive this upgrade via an update. The details of which are expected to be revealed soon.
