Google rolls out February 2026 security update focused solely on security fixes
In a new rollout announcement, Google has confirmed that it is now rolling out the February 2026 update for eligible Pixel smartphones. However, this rollout only includes the February 2026 security patch, which addresses a vulnerability (CVE-2026-0106) related to the VPU driver.
Since the rollout was announced two days ago, it may take some time to reach all users. In the same announcement, Google has also shared the list of devices receiving the update, along with their respective build numbers. Overall, the update is expected to be around 20MB in size, as it does not include any bug fixes or new features.
By the way, the update will automatically come to your smartphone. In case you haven’t received it and want to check it manually, you can do so by going to Settings > System > Software updates > System update.
