Google officially reveals Android 17 logo

A few days back, Google officially announced that the Android 17 Beta 1 update will be released soon for Android fans. The first beta update of Android 17 was said to be built on top of the Android 16 QPR platform release and includes the latest bug fixes and improvements to stability and performance.

The company released Android 17 Beta 1 update, but the Android Developer Blog post was later deleted. Reportedly, Google has now delayed the release and says the update will be “coming soon.” Amid this delay, the company has officially revealed the Android 17 logo.

The logo features a new design language with a purple layered star badge and green planetary swirl center. A clean “17” typography can be seen. When compared with Android 16, this new Android 17 logo looks more modernised and dimensional.

While making the release announcement on Reddit, the company mentioned that the enrolled Pixel devices in the beta programme will start receiving the update as soon as it is officially released. Though the exact release timeline is yet to be revealed.

Reportedly, the stable Android 17 update might be released in Q2, 2026, with a host of improvements, new design changes, customisation features and more. We do need to wait for the Android 17 beta releases to get more ideas about the upcoming changes.
