First One UI 9 build spotted for Galaxy S26 Ultra on Samsung’s servers; Screenshots of One UI 9 on Galaxy S26 Ultra model leaked online

Last month, Samsung introduced its flagship Galaxy S26 series with the latest One UI 8.5 custom skin. The Galaxy S26 series models were the first to receive this stable upgrade, and it is said that it will soon be rolled out for the other Galaxy devices as well.

Meanwhile, tipster @tarunvats33 has now revealed that the first internal One UI 9 test build has been spotted for the Galaxy S26 Ultra model on Samsung‘s servers.

The build version is S948BXXU1BZC5/S948BOXM1BZC5/S948BXXU1BZC5. This suggests that the South Korean tech giant has officially started One UI 9 development. If you recall, the development of One UI 8 also started in the same timeline last year.

Another X (formerly known as Twitter) user @tukzerotuk and @thatjoshguy69 have also shared various screenshots of One UI 9 running on the Galaxy S26 Ultra model.

Though the above images reveal that the  One UI 9 is based on Android 16, it is assumed that this could be just a placeholder. Various reports suggest that One UI 9 could be based on Android 17. And since the One UI 9 is still in early development, changes might be made with further updates.

In the coming days, we may come across some more details related to the One UI 9. Stay tuned for all the updates.
