ColorOS 16 Open Beta now available for Oppo Reno 14 and Find X8 Pro users in India, Malaysia, and Indonesia
Oppo has already started accepting ColorOS 16 Open Beta (based on Android 16) applications for the Oppo Find X8 in the global market ahead of its scheduled launch on October 15th. Now, two more smartphones have been added to the list: the Oppo Reno 14 and the Oppo Find X8 Pro.
In a post on its community page, Oppo confirmed that it is now accepting ColorOS 16 Open Beta applications from users in India, Malaysia, and Indonesia. The post does not specify how many users can apply, but it does mention that the application period started on October 9th, 2025, and the last date to apply is October 13th, 2025.
If you want to apply, make sure your device is running the following versions:
- Oppo Find X8 Pro – CPH2659_15.0.0.860(EX01)
- Oppo Reno 14 – CPH2737_15.0.2.602(EX01) or CPH2737_15.0.2.502(EX01)
Here’s how you can apply:
- Step 1: Go to Settings > About device > Tap the top of the page > Click the top-right button > Beta Program > Fill in your information > Apply Now
- Step 2: After your application is approved, go to About device > Download Now to install the update.
As usual, Oppo advises users not to install beta updates on their primary smartphone. Since beta builds are not stable, you may encounter issues such as app crashes and system instability. Therefore, it’s recommended to use a secondary device for testing.
