Both OnePlus 15R and OnePlus Pad Go 2 get their first update right after launch

OnePlus launched the OnePlus 15R and OnePlus Pad Go 2 on 17th December 2025, and has already announced the rollout of their first software update. Notably, the rollout is announced in less than 24 hours after launch.

For the OnePlus 15R, the update is currently rolling out only in the India region. Meanwhile, the OnePlus Pad Go 2 is receiving the update across all supported regions, including India, Global, Europe, and North America (IN/GLO/EU/NA).

The OnePlus 15R is receiving the OxygenOS 16.0.1.305 update with firmware version IN: CPH2767_16.0.1.305(EX01). On the other hand, the OnePlus Pad Go 2 is getting the OxygenOS 16.0.2.402 update, with firmware versions IN/EU/GLO/NA: OPD2504_16.0.2.402(EX01) and IN/EU/GLO: OPD2505_16.0.2.402(EX01).

While the update mainly brings general system improvements, the OnePlus Pad Go 2 also receives the December 2025 Android security patch. Since this is the first day of the rollout announcement and open sales for the OnePlus Pad Go 2 only began today, it is likely that not many users have received the update yet. Similarly, feedback for the OnePlus 15R is unavailable at the moment, as its open sales will start on 22nd December 2025.

Typically, OnePlus takes around one to two weeks to complete a staged rollout. As a result, users who purchase these devices during the initial sales period will likely receive the update shortly after setting them up.
