Android 17 Beta 2 announced for OnePlus 15 and Oppo Find X9 Pro by respective brands

Google announced the Android 17 Beta 2 update back in February 2026 for the Pixel series smartphones. Now, both OnePlus and Oppo have officially rolled out Android 17 Beta 2 for their latest flagship smartphones – the OnePlus 15 and Oppo Find X9 Pro – in multiple global regions.

OnePlus 15 – Android 17 Beta 2

OnePlus advises users not to install it on their primary device, as it is an early-stage beta release. For those who still wish to try it out, you can also check out the known issues with this release, as shared by OnePlus below:

  • Device data will be cleared when updating to Android 17 Beta 2
  • Unable to use Cast
  • Screen flickering, crashes, unresponsiveness, or issues in some system applications and settings
  • Black screen issue when using the camera in certain scenarios
  • Some third-party app compatibility issues

Additionally, OnePlus notes that the device must be running either version 16.0.5.700 or 16.0.3.503 to proceed with Android 17 Beta 2. Adding more to this, carrier-locked devices such as TMO/VZW variants are also not supported.

Oppo Find X9 Pro – Android 17 Beta 2

Similar to OnePlus, Oppo has also announced the Android 17 Beta 2 update for the Oppo Find X9 Pro via its official community page. Currently, the update is being rolled out only for the Find X9 Pro smartphone in select regions, including India, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia.

As stated above, it is advised not to install this update on your primary device, as it is an early beta build and may affect device stability. Before updating, you can check if you are on the required version 16.0.3.504 or 16.0.5.701.

If you have a Carrier-locked device, then this release will not work. Furthermore, Oppo mentions that since this build uses the latest GMS package, some pre-installed apps overlapping with GMS may not be retained.

Before updating, make sure that the device has at least 4GB of internal storage space and a minimum of 30% battery. This is applicable to both the OnePlus 15 and the Oppo Find X9 Pro.
