Google rolls out a fix for Overheating and battery drainage issues on Pixel smartphones

Some Pixel users recently complained about battery drainage issues and overheating issues faced by them on their devices. Users did mention that their devices were getting warmer than usual while the battery also drains out quickly even if they were not using their devices for a long time. The users also mentioned that they even tried to reset their device or take it to a service center but that didn’t help either.

Users were waiting for Google to respond to these issues as it was said that this issue was not only with Pixel phones but with Android also. Finally, to the relief of users, Google has responded to these issues. The company has identified the root cause of these issues as a recent Google app backend change which unintentionally resulted in overheating and battery drainage.

Google has mentioned that they have rolled out a fix that will solve the issues of the impacted users. It also informed that no user action is needed which means the users don’t need to update any app or their device as the fix is being rolled out as a server-side update. Hence the affected users will now be able to resume their devices to normal functioning without any delay.
