MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Chipset Launching on December 8th

The New Mediatek Dimensity 8200 Chipset is launching in China on December 8. It is speculated to be a mid-range chipset in China with iQOO Neo7 SE being the first smartphone featuring the processor. The new chip will be more focused on energy efficiency. The iQOO Neo 7 and iQOO 11 series are to be launched on the same day.

The launch was originally scheduled to launch on December 1 but the event got canceled due to the demise of China’s former leader Jiang Zemin. The company is ready to launch it tomorrow.

The announcement of the event was made through Weibo by MediaTek. Weibo is like a Twitter equivalent for China. It is possible that the chipset will be unveiled alongside the iQOO Neo7 SE and iQOO 11 series.

No such claims have been made by Mediatek about the features of the chipset but rumors have it that it will come with four Cortex-A78 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores. One A78 core clocked at 3.1GHz, three A78 cores at 3.0GHz, and four efficient cores A55 at 2.0GHz is also rumored to be present. It is said that it will retain the Mali-G610 MC6 GPU found on the Dimensity 8100.
