The upcoming Motorola smartphone, the Moto X40 has an IP68 rating. Chen Jin, the manager of Lenovo phone’s business in China recently revealed that the Moto X40 will support IP68 Waterproof Level.

It was announced that the Xiaomi 13 series phone will support IP68 and the Moto X40 is next in line. It is called the “SUV of Cell Phones”.

There is a reason why they call the IP68 support the “SUV of  Cell Phones”, the phones can be used in the mountains and in water.

However, the manufacturers will not provide any warranty for the smartphone damaged from water failure. Basic damages will be covered in the warranty which will include accidental drops in water surfaces or if splashed or damaged in rain.

Xiaomi 13 series, IQOO 11 series, and the Vivo X90 smartphones are all set to launch this December and the Moto X40 with the IP68 rating can match up with its competitors.
