A mid-size SUV C3 Aircross from Citroen has been finally revealed and will soon be launched in India. This SUV has been unveiled with the tagline “Tough outside, caring inside”. This SUV is built on a CMP platform similar to the C3 hatchback. It will be launched in 7-seater and 5-seater versions with some of the best new features to blow the mind of customers.

Design

If we talk about the design of this car it looks similar to the C3 hatchback. This SUV has got an iconic C3 chrome lining with dual LED DRLs and a front grille painted in glossy black colour. The lower part of the front profile sports air dams, and fog lamps in the lower portion of the grille. The side of the SUV comes with roof rails, blacked-out OVRMs, pentagonal-shaped diamond-cut alloy wheels and blacked-out pillars. The back side of the car has LED taillamps extending the side of the car.

This SUV comes with the largest wheelbase in the segment which is 2,671 mm long and 4.3 metres in length. This spacious SUV has a 511-litre trunk. One thing that makes it unique from others is its third-row seat’s easy removal for extra boot space which is only available for 7-seater versions.

Features

Its manual roof-mounted air-con vents and digital instrument cluster make it stand out and unique while other features are shared with the C3 hatchback. It has a 10.15-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Just below the screen, you will find the manual control air conditioning vents. You can also charge your phone while travelling through any of the 5 fast charging points. To make your journey safe for you it comes with a rearview camera, EBD, ESP, day/night IRVM, high-speed alert, and seat belt warning system.

Powertrain

Following the same trend, C3 Aircross will also use a 1.2-litre Puretech 82 engine as found in the C3 hatchback. This engine generates 82 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque. As far as the three-row model C3 Aircross SUV is concerned it will come with a 1.2 litres Puretech 110 turbo petrol engine with the maximum torque of 190 Nm and 110 PS.
