Google hints towards working on an Android-based PC at Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit

In the past few years, we have all seen Android evolving with various enhancements and new upgrades. Till now, Android has powered various smartphones and tablets in the industry, but what if you get to know that we may soon get to see an Android-powered PC?

Amusing right? Well, today at Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit, Google’s SVP of Devices and Services, Rick Osterloh, has officially confirmed that the company is working on an Android-based PC.

While talking to Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amo, Osterloh said, “In the past, we’ve always had the different systems between what we are building on PCs and what we are building on smartphones. We’ve embarked on a project to combine that. We are building together a common technical foundation for our products on PCs and desktop computing systems.”

He further mentioned, “This is another way we can leverage all of the great work we’re doing together on our AI stack, our full stack, bringing Gemini models, bringing the assistant, bringing all of our applications and developer community into the PC domain. And I think this is another way in which Android is gonna be able to serve everyone in every computing category.”

Other than this, not much has been revealed about the upcoming PC. Though, since Google has hinted towards the Android-based PC, we may come across some more details in the future. Stay tuned.
