Google offers an extended repair program for Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL devices

Reportedly, a limited number of Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL devices are facing some display issues, like a vertical line on the display or display flicker. Google is aware of this situation and has come up with a solution for the affected users- the Extended Repair Program.

Pixel 9 Pro & Pixel 9 Pro XL Extended Repair Program

This program will provide support coverage for affected devices (Pixel 9 Pro & Pixel 9 Pro XL only). Coverage lasts for 3 years after the original retail-purchase date. Eligibility for this program requires a vertical line on the display (must run from top to bottom) or display flicker on Pixel 9 Pro devices.

Repairs are available starting 8th December 2025. Eligible users can use a Google walk-in center or an authorized center. Online repair options are also available.

The repair facility will inspect your phone first to verify eligibility for the program. Any repair under this extended-repair program is warranted for 90 days, subject to local consumer laws. It is advised to back up your data before giving your device for repair (Settings app> System> Backup> Backup now and next place your phone in Repair mode).

Terms and Conditions for this program

  • You may be asked to provide proof of ownership when claiming a support option (support options may not be available in all countries as permitted by law).
  • You may be required to confirm that you are 18 years of age or older to redeem certain support options.
  • This program does not restrict the statutory rights provided to you by consumer law in the country where you purchased the device.

In case you are not 18+, a parent or guardian must go through the replacement process on your behalf.

Do note that this program does not extend Google’s liability for other phone issues, which may be covered under Google’s Limited Guarantee. If your phone isn’t eligible for this program or if it has been damaged out of warranty, then there may be a fee required to repair your device.
