Washington, Jan 20 – U.S. President Joe Biden said that he believes though Russian President Vladimir Putin is not in favor of war with Ukraine if Russia goes ahead with military incursions across the border, they will have to face it as a response from the west.

On completion of one year of presidency, Biden said in the news conference that Russia is preparing to act on Ukraine although it has not yet decided. Biden further said that he will restrict the access of the International Banking System to the Russians if Russia continues to invade Ukraine border.

Antony Blinken, U.S. Secretary of State also accused Russia of planning to deploy more than 1,00,000 troops on Ukraine’s border and said there can chances that the calculation of troops can be relatively doubled.

Without giving much detail, Blinken said Russia has sent the number of troops from the country’s far east to its ally Belarus(that also shares a border with Ukraine) which ultimately suggests that they are planning a war the very next month.

The entire decision is on the shoulders of Putin, the U.S. President said he believes. He is even not sure about the Russian officials that are aware of Putin’s view or not,  whom the top white house advisors are communicating with. Biden said, “The question arises is whether these people know what Putin is going to decide”.

Biden has cautioned that they will impose sanctions over Russia that were never before if they continue to do these deeds, it is hard to stop in giving a befitting reply to them.

European allies made the same remarks to take steps against Russia together with bigger economic and financial sanctions.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson also said in this regard on Jan 20th that,” if Russia will make move against Ukraine, it will prove to be a disaster for the world”.
