Major Earthquake hits the Xinjiang region of China

According to media reports, Xinjiang region in China was hit with a severe earthquake. The earthquake that shook the Xinjiang region in China was reported to be a a major one. The magnitude of the Earthquake was about 4.2 on the Richter Scale. And the timing of the earthquake was at about 8.36 PM IST, as per National Center for Seismology (NCS). Also, no deaths or loss of property have been reported by the Chinese side.

According to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC), the epicenter was located at 35.59 degrees north latitude and 84.09 degrees east longitude of Xinjiang, China.
