Perplexity’s Comet AI browser announced for iPhone, App Store page confirms March 11 release

Perplexity is set to bring its AI-powered browser, Comet, to iPhone users. The update was shared by Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas on X, where he confirmed that Comet for iOS is “almost here” and that users can now pre-order the app.

In his post, Srinivas said that Comet on iOS “will be smooth as butter and feel like Safari grade browser with Perplexity powering every webpage and the browser for assistance.” He also shared the App Store link, which is already live.

The App Store listing shows the app as “Comet – AI Personal Assistant” under the Utilities category. It is marked as “Coming Soon” with an expected release date of March 11, 2026. The app will be free to download and will include in-app purchases. It is currently listed as compatible only with iPhone and carries an age rating of 18+.

Users who pre-order the app will have it automatically downloaded to their iPhone once it becomes available on March 11, 2026.

While the iPhone version is yet to go live, Comet is already available for Mac users. The browser is also accessible on Android and Windows platforms. However, there has been no announcement regarding availability for iPad users at this time.
