Resignation of CEO Abhilash Panda hints towards the shut down of Realme sub brand Dizo soon

Realme may shut down the sub-brand DIZO soon. Yes, you read it right because recent reports hint towards something similar. CEO of DIZO Abhilash Panda has resigned from the company hinting towards its shutdown. This is not a vague prediction because recent events have been like this, and Dizo media communication has left as well.

Dizo upliftment

Dizo was launched in May 2021 as Realme’s new sub-brand and Abhilash Panda became the CEO of the company. And within the span of two years, Dizo launched 13 Bluetooth audio products, 17 smartwatches, 2 feature phones, 3 hair trimmers, and 1 hair dryer. Such a wide expansion by the company in a short span of time was a huge success for the company along with its increasing market share. The company was celebrating its first year anniversary in 2022 quoting Counterpoint Technology Market Research which said Dizo “top five smartwatches brands in India” with “4.4 percent of the market share”.

No celebration this year

The company has not made any official announcement about the Dizo but reports and reports around the company after Abhilash’s resignation suggests its closure. Abhilash on May 27 informed users about his resignation through a Twitter post in which he wrote “THE LAST 2 YEARS HAS BEEN A GREAT LEARNING EXPERIENCE. OVER TO SOME TIME OFF AND OPENING OF THE NEXT CHAPTER!”

Buyers concern

Dizo’s large market share means large customers to cater and that means fulfillment of the service that the company promised them. Buyers are in a dilemma and they don’t know whether they will be getting promised service from the company or not. A user tweeting on the Abhilash post of stepping down wrote “What about those people who bought the Dizo product and they don’t have any service?

Such an easy way to take an exit and say all good things about the company which is cheat and fraud, make money, and run away. Also, mind #dizo is @realmeIndia company. Realme should help out people, but they don’t care. Kyonki sab ke sab saale chor hain ye chinese”.

The resignation of the CEO should not be understood as the confirmation of the closure of Dizo but just hints toward it. As soon as the company reports about it you will be notified.
