NTPC Limited could build new coal-fired power plants if needed

India’s prime power builder NTPC could create fresh coal-fired power plants if wanted as per told by Chairman Gurdeep Singh on Friday.

Singh told that We should not be shying away. If there is at need, we may have to move for modern coal-based power plants.

Singh moreover told that the corporation was contemplating building nuclear power plants, but conversations were introductory.

Nonetheless, NTPC broadcasted a 25 per cent bounce in quarterly profit in the previous week.

Profits improved to Rs.41.3 billion in the 3 months through December as correlated with Rs. 33.2 billion a previous year back.

Profit exceeded a standard reviewer measure of Rs.35.9 billion.
