Germany is not planning a blanket ban on Huawei: Here’s what we know so far!

As per Reuters report, Germany will not ban Chinese brands such as Huawei from its market. Germany’s Economic Ministry’s spokesperson also added that Germany will continue to make such decisions on a case by case basis. Recently, Germany and China’s relationship has come under close scrutiny. Earlier, it was observed that Germany relied heavily on Russia. This came under the spotlight after the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Now, Germany is being told that their over-reliance on China for its trade market. Recently, Huawei was banned in the U.S. market for posing hazards as well as risk. This was considered to be unacceptable.

Upon being asked whether it would be banned in the European Union or Germany, Huawei had released a statement. The brand Huawei mentioned that they have complied to global standards and secure use of networks. A top U.S. representative targeted his statement at Germany. He aimed and uttered that Germany was trying to jeopardize its own national security.

Germany’s Economic Ministry strategy paper released 104 pages. It includes the mention of the legislation of Germany in 2020. This legislation included the obstacles faced by telecoms, its equipment and more. So, IT companies and products have been banned if the suppliers make any false statements or declarations about their products. If these telecoms fail any security audits or other, then this German legislation will throw them out.
