Apple to open it’s first Flagship store in Mumbai in April , followed by a second store in New Delhi in coming months

India is one of the best performing markets for Apple for more than six years even though the company doesn’t has it’s flagship store in the country . Lately since the beginning of this year , there were rumors going around that Apple will be soon opening it’s retail store in India but everytime there have been unknown delays in this plan .

The chief executive of Apple , Tim Cook during Apple’s Financial Conference call last month stated that . “ India is hugely exciting market for us and is a major focus . We bought the online store there in 2020 . We will soon bring Apple retail there . So we are putting a lot of emphasis on the market .” Well CEO’s this statement has definitely left all the Indian Apple users excited and curious as to when they will get to see the first retail store .

Now finally there has been a full stop put to all the rumors and speculations as it is confirmed that Apple is preparing to open it’s flagship India retail store in Mumbai in April and after that a second store will be opening in New Delhi in the coming months .

According to Economic Times report , Apple’s Mumbai store will be coming up over 22,000 square feet in Reliance Industries’ premium Jio World Drive Mall . Also this store will be similar to Apple’s outlets in Los Angeles , New York , Beijing , Milan and Singapore .

Along with this Apple’s Delhi store will be opening in Select Citywalk mall in Saket and the outlet will be spread over 10,000 sq. ft . Though the Mumbai store will be opening first in April and Delhi store will open soon after .

The date for the opening of the Apple stores is still not announced but according to the ET report the opening date of the flagship store will be fixed based on the availability of global executives . Since the opening will be held next month only , we might soon hear about the official opening date .
