210 narrow body aircraft and 40 wide body A350 planes are to be inducted in Air India as part of Air India- Airbus deal signed today

TATA is known all across the world for its top-class products and service and since it acquired Air India it has been working rigorously to make it the best with world-class hospitality and no-delay service. On the path to achieving these goals, TATA has signed a deal with Airbus.

TATA-owned Air India has signed a deal with Airbus to buy 250 aircraft from Airbus. The 250 aircraft include 210 narrow-body aircraft and 40 wide-body A350 planes. During the launch of the new Air India- Airbus Partnership via video conference Chandrashekhran chairperson of TATA group said “Committed to building a world-class airline known for safety on-time performance, the best of Indian hospitality, modern fleet, and wholesome experience for every passenger whether they are in the front row or in the last row”.

The launch was attended by the Minister of the Civil Aviation Ministry, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury was there in a video conference and French President Emmanuel Macron was also there.

This decision has been taken in parallel with Air India’s aspiration of increasing market share to at least 30 percent in the domestic market. This is also a major achievement that celebrates the smooth deal between France and India and marks the strong ties between these two countries.
