X and Several Websites Go Down Amid Cloudflare Outage; Services Slowly Recovering

People began reporting that X (formerly Twitter) was down, and at first it seemed like the problem was limited to X itself. But soon it became clear that the issue was coming from Cloudflare, as many other websites that rely on the service were also experiencing outages at the same time.

Cloudflare’s status page was first updated on 18 November 2025 at 11:48 UTC, stating that they were experiencing an internal service degradation. Another update at 12:53 UTC confirmed that they were still investigating the issue.

After more than an hour, Cloudflare finally found the reason. At 13:09 UTC, they posted an update saying: “Identified – The issue has been identified and a fix is being implemented.”

Now, X seems to be working fine again, and other Cloudflare-powered sites are also slowly recovering, though some users may still see occasional hiccups. Cloudflare has since issued a final update on 18 November 2025 at 14:42 UTC: “Monitoring – A fix has been implemented, and we believe the incident is now resolved. We are continuing to monitor for errors to ensure all services are back to normal.”
