VoidWare Labs releases a new update for the VoidCaller app that includes stability fixes, performance improvements and more

VoidCaller is a third-party dialer application that is developed by VoidWare Labs, mimicking Nothing’s clean and minimalist UI, essentially or specifically to offer Nothing users a Nothing-inspired dialer app.
VoidWare Labs today officially announced that a new update is being rolled out for the VoidCaller app.
Hey everyone! New update for Voidcaller is out. You’ll receive a new update every month.
Please note, there’s currently only one developer handling almost everything, so updates might not come as fast as you’d like. Thanks for your patience and support –it means a lot! 🙏 pic.twitter.com/x0YXKLXiTS— VoidWare (@VoidWareLabs) October 16, 2025
VoidCaller App: New update
Changelog
Performance & Warm Start
- Added DeviceMemory utility to detect 5-6 GB RAM devices
- Deferred heavy app init by -250-300ms on mid-RAM devices (VoidCaller app)
- Introduced light mode preload: small initial call logo batch background pagination (CallLogsPreloadService)
- Moved service start off UI thread in MainActivity
Stability Fixes
- Media Play IllegalStateException: made stop/release state-safe and added started-state flag (IncomingCallReceiver)
- Secured Call Lo access with permission/default- dialer guards and cached fallbacks (RecentsFragment, MainActivity)
- Replace heavy regex normalization with a fast digit filter to prevent ICU/native crash (MainActivity)
- Fragment lifecycle guards to avoid IllegalStateException on destroyed views (RecentsFragment, FavouritesFragment)
- Fixed ClassCastException in contacts categorization by normalizing header keys to String (ContactsAdapter)
- Hardened PhoneStateListener lifecycle, guarded UI updates, and unregistered on destroy (MainActivity)
UX & Feature Robustness
- In the CallActivity, the big letter name for the saved names shows a black background in dark theme rather than gray for better UX
It is revealed that VoidCaller will be receiving a new update every month.
