TikTok Begins Hiring in India, Despite its Unlifted Ban in the Country: Two Job Openings at its Gurgaon Office Listed on LinkedIN

Following this, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology shared its clarification on the matter, stating that the Government of India hasn’t yet lifted the TikTok ban in the country, and that the app still remains banned. Amidst these, TikTok has begun hiring in India, and has posted two job openings on LinkedIN to its Gurgaon office.

Yes, while recent reports had suggested that the updates concerning the accessibility of TikTok in India is false and incorrect, China’s ByteDance-owned app has started to hire in the country as mentioned above. The job openings that are posted on LinkedIN to the company’s Gurgaon office are for two positions: ‘Content Moderator – Bengali Speaker – Trust and Safety’ and ‘Wellbeing Partnership and Operations Lead, Trust, and Safety’. For one of the positions, it can also be spotted that the company is reviewing the applicants.

This new update again suggests the possible comeback of TikTok, however on checking, as of today, the official TitTok website still is down and the app is nowhere to be seen on Google’s Play Store and Apple’s App Store.
