Google has now brought the AirDrop support for Quick Share, and it has now been made available – starting with the Pixel 10 series smartphone models.
Here’s more about the update below.
Google’s Quick Share Now Supports AirDrop
Via the X handle for Android, Google has announced that its Quick Share now also works with Apple’s AirDrop wireless file transfer service. This has made file transfer between Android and iOS devices much easier, and this new capability is already made available to Google’s latest Pixel 10 series smartphone users and it is said to be expanded to other Android devices too soon. As noted by the brand, the AirDrop support on Quick Share aligns with the brand’s commitment of ensuring cross-OS compatibility, thereby bridging the gap between ecosystems.

Speaking more, the new feature also gives priority to security, and it employs safeguards to protect user data and these have already been tested by independent security experts. Also to note, the AirDrop support on Quick Share follows the brand’s work on RCS and unknown tracker alerts.
Regarding a few other related updates, for its Indian users, Google recently introduced new AI safety tools on its devices. Prior to this, the Gemini 3 also marked its official launch. This week itself, the WeatherNext 2 model was introduced by Google DeepMind and Google Research. Furthermore, last week for Google Photos, six new capabilities or features were also brought, including the Nano Banana on the editor. Just to add, Google has also already rolled out the Pixel Update and Pixel Drop for November 2025, and these started reaching eligible users from last week.
