Perplexity iOS Update Brings New Navigation, Voice Enhancements, and Improved Search

Perplexity has rolled out a new update for its iOS app, as announced by CEO Aravind Srinivas in a post on X. The update, now live for iOS users, comes in at 160.2MB with version number 2.250814.0, and brings a range of improvements that I’ll cover in detail below.
One of the main changes in this update is the new navigation system, which allows you to swipe from the left to open your library and from the right to access the Discover feed. The Voice Assistant and input dictation have also been improved, making interactions smoother and more accurate. The update further enhances search mode and refines the model selector, giving users more control and efficiency when browsing content. To run the app, your device must be on iOS 16 or later.

Changelog
Major app redesign.
– Swipe from the left to access your library
– Swipe from the right to access your Discover feed
– Enhancements to Voice Assistant and input dictation
– Improved search mode and model selector
I noticed that the last update for Perplexity on the Google Play Store was on 16 August, but there was no changelog mentioned there. So, it’s still unclear whether this iOS update will also make its way to Android users.
