OPPO Push Support to Bring Faster Outlook Email Notifications on ColorOS 16 Smartphones in China

On OPPO phones, background apps are often limited to save battery, which can sometimes delay or block notifications. To fix this, the Outlook app available on the OPPO App Store will now use OPPO’s own system-level push notification service instead of relying only on Android’s standard background system.

Because this push service is built directly into the system, Outlook can receive email alerts even when the app is not running in the background. This should result in faster and more reliable notifications, with fewer cases of emails arriving late or not showing up at all.

The change may also help with battery usage, as OPPO’s push service is designed to be more efficient than keeping apps active in the background.

For users, nothing else changes. Outlook’s features remain the same, and this update only affects how notifications are delivered. This integration is currently limited to China and applies to phones running ColorOS 16 using the OPPO App Store.
