Back in August 2025, OpenAI officially introduced the ChatGPT Go plan in India at Rs 399/month. The company has now announced a new promotional offer, as per which this plan will be made available free of charge for one year to users in India who sign up during a limited period starting November 4. It is not specified for how long the offer will remain available.
This promotional offer is announced in order to celebrate OpenAI’s DevDay Exchange event in Bengaluru on 4th November. Existing ChatGPT Go subscribers in India will also be eligible for the free 12-month offer.
It is said that since the introduction of the ChatGPT Go plan, OpenAI’s overall paid subscriptions in India have more than doubled. Previously, OpenAI’s CEO has claimed that India is OpenAI’s second-largest and fastest-growing market, and now this latest offer is expected to expand the Indian user base.
