One UI 8 Updated Samsung Auto Brings New Widget Cards for Weather, Schedule, Travel Navigation, and More, Along With an Added Music Menu
A few days back, Samsung had updated its Samsung Auto to version ‘3.1.03.18’ and it thus received the One UI 8 support too. A few added features were brought as part of it and Samsung was reported to bring more new features to improve its users’ driving experience with their Galaxy smartphones. Now, new widget cards have been added to Samsung Auto with multiple functional capabilities, as well as an added Music Menu.

As mentioned, after providing the support for One UI 8 on Samsung Auto, the brand has added new widget cards to its car interface. Weather card, Schedule card, Travel card, Nearby Services card, Suggestions from Call Transcripts, Today’s Brief card, and Parcel to pick are the newly added widget cards. Speaking more, with the Weather card, users will be able to get the weather information and alerts of their current location, whereas the Schedule card will allow them to view today’s event from their schedule.
On the Travel card, upcoming trip information will be shown based on the information received via flight tickets, train tickets, and hotel bookings. Recommendations for parking lots and petrol stations near users can be received via the Nearby Services card, while recommendations for addresses, phone numbers, and schedule can be accessed from call transcripts with the Suggestion from call transcripts card. With Today’s brief card, voice briefings to remind users of schedules can be turned on, and the Parcels to pick up card will remind them of their arriving packages and their picking.
Along with all these added widget cards, in ‘Settings’, a Music Menu has also been added. From there, users will be able to turn on the ‘Auto play music’ option, which will enable them to play music automatically via their connected Galaxy smartphone device with or without independent and separate sound channels.
In related news, Samsung just recently introduced its Galaxy Buds 3 FE earbuds globally and it is scheduled to go on sale early next month on the 5th of September 2025 (in most markets). For Indian customers, the brand also unveiled the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Enterprise Edition and its bookings are now live. On the 29th of August 2025, Samsung has also scheduled the launch of a new Galaxy A-series smartphone in India, and this is believed to be the next Galaxy A17 5G smartphone device.
