Microsoft creates a “How to uninstall Microsoft Edge” document but the document rather tells how Edge is better than Chrome

Last month Microsoft Bing was spotted spoofing Google UI in which when users searched for Google on Bing, a small Bing search bar was displayed and then a regular link for Google. This Bing search bar imitated the Google search bar closely which was expected to create confusion among users and grab a lot of attention to the Bing search engine.

Well seems like Microsoft is yet not done with Google as recently the company has created a new How to uninstall Microsoft Edge document the amusing part is the document will not tell you how to uninstall Edge but rather it highlights what you will miss by uninstalling Edge and this is not it, you will also find a comparison table that tells you how Edge is better than Chrome.

On the page, it is mentioned that if you uninstall Edge you lose access to features like Microsoft Store apps, Microsoft Widgets, Microsoft Copilot Chat, and Bing search in Windows. You will also miss out on the only browser with built-in Copilot experiences, security while browsing online, performance while browsing, and saving money while shopping online.

Take a look at the comparison between Edge and Chrome

In the above table, Microsoft has mentioned six features that are present in Edge but are missing in Chrome- Copilot, Designer, vertical tabs, coupons, read-aloud, and VPN. This seems to be an interesting marketing strategy by Microsoft where they have used a catchy title for the document so that users who want to remove Edge can access the document.

But once the user opens the document, there all you get is convincing points on what you will miss if you uninstall Edge and how you should not opt for Google browser which lacks various features. However, there is still no mention of how to remove Edge.
