Back in April 2025, Meta introduced a new Instagram video creation app called Edits. This app allowed users to make great videos directly on their phone. The company has now introduced some new features for the Edits app.

New features for Edits App
- New video effects: Meta has launched new AI-powered video effects, enabled by their new SAM 3 model, that you can add to specific people or objects in your videos. You can apply a fun effect like Scribble, Outline, or Glitter, tag an outfit, blur an object, and more.
- Reels in Edits: You can now easily add Reels to your videos. Just choose a Reel from Meta’s public library, then remix it, react to it, or use it for inspiration in your own video. If your Reel is used in someone else’s video, you will be credited in the remixed video.
- Title Cards: You can now add ready-to-go professionally-styled video titles to capture your audience’s attention from the start.
- Storyboards: Storyboards let you easily plan out your videos so you can get them just right. Storyboards can be used to map out scripts, teleprompter cues, video clips, and notes for your edit.
- Text and Caption updates: Explore a library of text styles that combine fonts, colours, animations, and effects that you can use to level up your videos. The company is also expanding its library to include more fonts available for Indic languages.
- Templates: You can use templates to quickly create great videos using popular music, eye-catching fonts, or time clips that match the beat of the music used in your video. You can also share new templates for others to try.
