Grok now gets a new Kids Mode; Especially designed for kids so that they can learn with AI in a secure environment

xAI has been introducing new features and capabilities for Grok lately in order to enhance the user experience while they interact with the AI platform. Recently, new 3D companions were introduced on Grok, but various users pointed them to be a bit sexualized, raising concerns for kids who are using the platform.

While there were also questions being raised about the sensitive content available on the platform that could affect the kids. The company has now come up with a solution for these growing concerns- Kids Mode.

Kids Mode is a specially designed safe space for kids, enabling them to learn with AI in a secure environment. The mode is said to include strict content filters to avoid controversial topics like politics or sensitive content. Parents can activate this mode in the Grok app, and there are also parental controls like PIN or Face ID.

In the Grok app, you can go to Settings, tap on Kids Mode to turn it on. In Kids mode, you will see cartoon characters as your companion, while there is also a lock Kids Mode option, tapping on which parents will need to create a PIN that will be required to turn off Kids Mode.
