Google releases new templates for Veo 3.1 in Gemini

Veo 3.1 in Gemini lets users generate dynamic videos with multiple reference images. Users can create funny memes, turn inside jokes into videos, re-imagine special moments and more. To make storytelling more fun and creative through videos, Google has now released some new templates for Veo 3.1 in Gemini.
New templates for Veo 3.1 in the Gemini app are rolling out today.
To give them a try, go to https://t.co/382WL5xSvc or open the app, select “Create videos” in the tools menu, and pick a template from the gallery. Then make it your own with a reference photo and/or description.

These templates enhance control over scene elements, while users can also customise them via reference photos or text prompts for quick video creation. By adding your photo, you can become the main character in the video clip that you are generating. The templates are rolling out to gemini.google and the Gemini app.
To try out the new templates:
- Go to gemini.google or open the Gemini app
- Select “Create videos” in the tools menu
- Pick a template from the gallery
- Customise it with your own reference photo and/or text
Currently, there are 15 templates available: Civilisation, Metallic, Memo, Glam, Crochet, Cyberpunk, Video Game, Cosmos, Action Hero, Stardust, Jellytoon, Race Track, ASMR apple, Red Carpet, and Popcorn.
In related news, last month, Google released a new update for Veo 3.1 Ingredients to Video that lets you create videos based on ingredient images, built directly for the mobile format.
