Google Brings a Major Mobile Update on NotebookLM for its Audio Overview Feature: Audio Overview Customization and Faster Loading

The California-based tech maker – Google has now brought a major mobile update on its note-taking and research tool: NotebookLM. This update is being rolled out with respect to the Audio Overview feature, and it is aimed to improve its capabilities.

As mentioned, this NotebookLM major mobile update that Google has rolled out brings two changelogs and these will be improving the capabilities of the NotebookLM mobile app. Firstly, with the new Audio Overview Customization, users can now select added options like preferred language, length adjusting, and guided prompts. To note the length adjusting option as of now will only be available in/for English. The second one is the fast loading speed on Audio Overview. As per what is being claimed, the Audio Overview’s buffer time has now been reduced by up to 95%, promising an even faster user experience.

 

Apart from these, the post shared via the NotebookLM official X handle also mentions that the brand plans to bring more new updates, and these are said to arrive soon.

Speaking more, replying to a user request, ‘resume playback’ was confirmed to be the next feature on the list, Flashcards and single-person audio overview were also confirmed to be features that are planned to roll out soon to NotebookLM users.

In related news, Google just recently introduced its Pixel 10 series consisting of the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold devices, as well as the Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a in India. A new Moonstone color variant was also made available for the Pixel Buds Pro 2 in the country. Additionally, many new Pixel accessories were also unveiled for Indian customers. Also to add, the brand recently introduced Gemini in Google Home too.
