Gemini for Home to be available via an early access program this month for smart home products

Last month, Google announced the launch of Gemini for Home, and its early access was said to start in October. Well, the company today officially revealed the availability details of Gemini for Home.

Google is bringing Gemini for Home to every speaker, smart display, camera, and doorbell made in the last decade, along with the new Google Home app. It will be available via an early access program that will begin for these devices this month.

To sign up for the early access program, use the Google Home app (version 4.0+): go to your profile icon, select Home settings, and then select Early access to enroll. You will be notified when you can begin. The more advanced features, including Gemini Live, AI-powered Notifications, Home Brief, searching your video history, and creating automations with Ask Home, will be available through the new Google Home Premium subscription. Plans start at $10 a month and are also included with Google AI Pro and Ultra subscriptions at no extra cost.

Early access to Gemini Live is available to select, existing US Google Home Premium subscribers with compatible speakers and displays beginning 28th September. It will gradually roll out to all Google Home Premium subscribers by early 2026.
