Fitbit Personal Health Coach Public Preview Opens to Free Users with New Feature Additions

In October 2025, Fitbit introduced its AI-powered Fitbit Personal Health Coach in a public preview phase, but it was limited only to paying customers. Now, this has changed as Google has announced that the public preview will also be made available to non-paying users. Along with this major update, a few additional features have also been introduced.
Check out more about it below.
Fitbit – New Personal Health Coach Features
In a new update shared by Google via a blog post, non-premium users will now be able to access Fitbit’s AI-powered health coach in public preview. Previously, users who wanted to try out these features had to pay a monthly subscription fee of $9.99. With the latest update, non-premium users now have access to the basic version of the health coach, along with sleep-tracking features and the newly added logging tools. However, users with a premium subscription will still have additional features like “Ask Coach” – a direct conversational AI interface – and personalised fitness programs generated by the coach.
Apart from making the public preview available to non-premium users, Google has also introduced three new features, which are currently rolling out in the public preview.
- Cycle Health: Log your symptoms and periods from the calendar. Premium users can also receive personalized cycle insights from their coach.
- Mental Wellbeing: Track mindfulness sessions and log your moods for deeper insights. You’ll also be able to better understand your body’s response to stress with an updated stress management score called resilience.
- Nutrition and Water Logging: Set a calorie target, log your meals and track your calorie and water intake. With personalized macronutrient ranges, you’ll also have a more flexible way to manage nutrition.
