Edit your images in Google Photos just by describing the edits; New capability rolling out in India, Japan and Australia

Last year, Google released a new editing capability in Google Photos in the US region that relied on voice or text input. Well, this feature is now being rolled out in India, Japan, and Australia also (eligible to 18+ Android users).
Edit your photos just by asking — now starting to roll out in India, Japan, and Australia! 🌏✨
Complex editing tools just became a whole lot simpler. Just tap “Help me edit”, tell Google Photos what you want to change, and watch your vision come to life 🖼️

Users in the above-mentioned regions can now ask Photos to remove a friend’s sunglasses, open their eyes, or make them smile. The feature uses images from your private face groups to generate accurate, personalised edits of the people in your library.
And with Nano Banana in Google Photos’ editor, you can now ask for all kinds of new transformations to your images. Just describe a new style and watch your vision come to life.
In the Indian region, this feature in Google Photos is available in English, Tamil, Marathi, Telugu, Bengali, and Gujarati on any Android device with at least 4GB of RAM and Android 8.0 or higher.
Do note that in order to ensure transparency on AI-generated content, Google is also adding support for C2PA Content Credentials in Google Photos, which attaches a permanent digital label showing a modified image’s origin and edit history.
To try this new feature, just open a photo and tap “Help me edit.”
