With the recent changes WhatsApp has made to its platform policies, all the LLM chatbots are going to be removed, including Copilot, and it will come in to effect early next year on the 15th of January 2026.
While Copilot won’t be accessible on WhatsApp from the mentioned date, Microsoft has ensured that it will be accessible on iOS and Android as a mobile app, on copilot.com as a web version, and also as Copilot on Windows in laptops running on the Windows operating system. Also to add, if users wish to keep their Copilot history on WhatsApp, they can do so by exporting the chat history relying on the inbuilt tools given on WhatsApp.
Via the above mentioned Microsoft surfaces, all of Copilot’s core features can be accessed by users, even after WhatsApp terminates the support of Copilot and other LLM chatbots, along with added capabilities like Copilot Voice, Vision, Mico, and more.
