Amazon introduces a built-in Price History feature inside its app; Currently showing for Android users

Whenever it comes to shopping online, all of us try to look for sales and discounts on a particular product so that we can grab the best deal available. Well, Amazon India seems to have noted this preference of consumers and introduced a new feature that is sure to impress a lot of shopaholics.

Amazon has silently introduced a Price History feature in the app. With this feature, you can now check a product’s 30-day or 90-day price history to see the lowest price it sold for.

How to check the price history?

  • Open any product page
  • Below the product price, tap on Price History

  • A pop-up will appear where you can see the 30-day or 90-day price history of that product

When you click on the price history option, Rufus AI assistant will show you a 30-day or 90-day price tracker graph so customers can quickly evaluate past pricing and decide whether they should make a purchase or not.

Currently, this feature is available for Android users only. We checked the web and iOS for this feature, but as of now, it is not visible.

In its blog post, Amazon has mentioned that after checking the price history, customers can also set a price alert to be notified when a product hits a target price point, while Prime members can also ask the AI assistant to automatically buy the item for them. Though when we checked for this capability, it was currently unavailable.
