Update: Turns out that the news regarding the iPhone 17 price hike was fake after all, and this has been confirmed via Apple Support (received via @yabhishekhd). At the moment, Apple India does not plan on increasing the price of its standard iPhone 17 smartphone.

The September 2025-launched Apple iPhone 17 smartphone is getting a price hike in India, and offline customers will have to pay INR 7,000 more to get it now. This revised pricing will come into effect from today in the country’s retail market.

Latest Apple iPhone 17 – Gets INR 7,000 Price Hike in India
This year’s iPhone 17 smartphone was brought out by Apple in only two storage options of 8GB/256GB and 8GB/512GB, and the device carries respective price tags of INR 82,900 and INR 1,02,900. As per what has been announced by Apple India, the price (MOP) of the 8GB/256GB storage variant of the standard iPhone 17 smartphone will be revised, and this change will be coming into effect from today on the 16th of December 2025. Following the INR 7,000 price hike, from the previous MSP of INR 82,900, it will be raised to INR 89,900.
To note, this revision is for the offline customers, and the brand has asked all its partners and team members to both communicate and implement the change across the market. However, via the brand’s official India website, the 8GB/256GB storage variant of the Apple iPhone 17 smartphone can still be purchased at INR 82,900, but on most e-commerce platforms the device is marked as ‘sold out’.
