xAI Releases its Next Grok 4 With Two Models – Grok 4 and Grok 4 Heavy; A New USD 300 Monthly AI Subscription Plan Also Introduced

Following the Grok 3 that came out early this year in February 2025, xAI has released its next generation Grok 4. Two New AI models have been unveiled for Grok 4 and along with it, the brand has also introduced a new USD 300 monthly AI subscription plan too.

Grok 4 and New USD 300 Monthly AI Subscription Plan Officially Launched by xAI
While its contender OpenAI is said to launch the GPT-5 model later this Summer, xAI has first taken the stage by launching its latest Grok 4 with two new AI models – Grok 4 and Grok 4 Heavy. Elon Musk – the CEO of xAI noted at the launch event that Grok 4 will be capable of responding and taking up tasks in every subjects at PhD level, and the Grok 4 Heavy model is the brand’s ‘multi-agent version’ that assures an even better performance to its users by assigning the task to multiple agents and compares the works to reach the best answer. In terms of performance too, xAI’s new Grok 4 was claimed to beat many of the leading AI models now available in the market and was teased as the ‘world’s most powerful AI model’.

On the Humanity’s Last Exam test, Grok 4 has attained a 25.4% score without tools and with the use of tools, it scored 44.4%. In comparison, Google’s Gemini 2.5 Pro model scored even less: 21.6% and 26.9% respectively with and without tools. A 16.2% score was achieved by Grok 4 on the ARC-AGI-2 test, and notably this is about twice the score achieved by Anthropic’s Claude Opus 4 – the next best AI model on the test.
As mentioned, in addition to Grok 4, xAI also introduced a new USD 300 monthly AI subscription plan – the SuperGrok Heavy. On top of being the brand’s most expensive AI subscription plan, this is also the most expensive AI subscription now available in the entire market. It will be offering its subscribers an early access to the new Grok 4 Heavy model, to the brand’s new AI features, and probably also to the other upcoming xAI products (AI coding model – August 2025; multi-model agent – September 2025; and video generation model – October 2025). Furthermore, xAI will be releasing its latest Grok 4 through API for developers, and additionally the brand also plans to make it available via cloud platforms as well.
