Check out more about its features and specs below.
Windsurf’s New Code-Supernova Model Introduced
As mentioned above, code-supernova which has been introduced as a ‘stealth model’, has a large context window with 200,000 tokens. This allows the agentic model to process a significant amount of information at the same time, enabling it to understand both large and complex data. Its image processing capability is also a very reliable feature that allows users to generate codes from screenshots or diagrams. Also, Windsurf’s code-supernova has been designed for agentic coding and it is thus capable of powering AI agents which perform multi-step tasks like request understanding, running tests, making changes, and code debugging.
Speaking more, since it has been introduced as a stealth model, it is understood to be an experimental model, and for a limited period of time, individual users can access it for free as well. To add, code-supernova has been made for primary use within the Windsurf code editor, and it can power the Cascade AI agent. The integration on Windsurf code editor will thus offer users features such as terminal command suggestions, multi-file editing, and reference to specific files/code snippets.

For users who want to try out the new code-supernova model of Windsurf, all they have to do is simply reload the Windsurf Editor (on Mac, Windows, or Linux).
