Tesla Officially Opens its Robotaxi App to General Public: Now Available to iOS Users in the US

Three months after offering the early access to its Robotaxi app, the American EV maker – Tesla has now opened the app to the general public. As of now, iOS users in the United States can download the app and join the waitlist.

Tesla’s Robotaxi App – Now Available to iOS Users in the US
Back in June 2025, Tesla had unveiled its Robotaxi app services and it was made available to a small group in Austin, Texas as part of the early access. About 10 to 20 Tesla Model Y SUVs were made available within the app and as earlier announced by the company head – Elon Musk, the brand has opened its Robotaxi app for the general public this month in September 2025. In the United States, iOS users can find the app listed on the App Store, and interested users can download the app and join the waitlist.
Speaking more, the description given for the app on the App Store reveals that its users will be able to book autonomous rides for point-to-point transportation. To note, it will only work with iOS devices running on iOS 18.0 or later, and the total app size is 282.9 MB. Also, 26 language support has also been given on it, and these include: English, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian Bokmål, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, and Turkish.
There are a few conduct policies too listed out by the brand, and users must be at least 18 years old to ride unaccompanied. Additionally, no one under the age of 13 years will be able to ride within the vehicle service even if accompanied.
