Samsung Opens Beta Registration for New Gallery Assistant in Korea
Earlier today, Samsung announced that Galaxy S25 series users in Korea have started receiving the stable One UI 8 update based on Android 16. Now, a fresh leak suggests that the company is preparing to introduce a new Gallery Assistant software.
According to tipster Ice Universe, the upcoming Gallery Assistant will offer practical features similar to Samsung’s existing Camera Assistant, Display Assistant, and Voice Assistant. A key feature of the app is Batch Editing, which lets users edit multiple photos and videos at once, making it easier to apply the same changes to several items. The app also includes new utility functions that make the editing process even more convenient.

In a post on X, Ice shared a screenshot of the Gallery Assistant Beta rollout schedule for Korea. As per the schedule, the beta is currently open to users of the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip FE — provided their devices are running One UI 8 or later.
At this stage, only Galaxy S25 series owners in Korea can access the beta, as they have just started receiving the stable One UI 8 update today. The Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip FE are scheduled to get the stable One UI 8 update next month, in October, after which their users will also be able to join the beta program.
Those in Korea who want to participate can apply through the Samsung Members app.
