In the latest development, Grok has dropped a Unified model that comes with a new Auto mode, along with Fast, Expert, and Heavy modes.

This is SuperGrok’s new Personas feature, currently rolling out on the web, while this feature will be released for the mobile app soon.
Four different modes-
- Auto mode- AI picks the optimal model for your query. With Auto mode, Grok automatically assesses your query’s complexity and adjusts its reasoning depth. For simple tasks, it provides direct and faster answers. For complex tasks, it employs deeper reasoning. The Auto mode is set by default, but you can tap to change the mode.
- Fast- Prioritizes speed for quick answers
- Expert- Uses Grok 4 for deep, thoughtful analysis on complex topics
- Heavy- Simulates a team of experts for multifaceted insights
Auto, Fast, and Expert models are available to all X users on the web now, with limits for free accounts. Heavy mode requires an upgrade to SuperGrok Heavy or X Premium+ for access.
