The first among the six new AI features that have been brought to Google Photos is the ‘Help me edit’ functionality. This new functionality will allow users to make necessary edits and changes on group photos of people, and Photos will make use of the private face groups in order to generate personalized and accurate edits.

Next among the new AI features is the editing capability relying on text or voice input. With this capability, users won’t be needing any tools or adjusting sliders, and can simply say or type-in the required edits. It has already started rolling out first for iOS, in the US region, and the brand is also bringing a redesigned photo editor too for iOS. Nano Banana has also been brought to the editor on Google Photos, as promised earlier, and users can make use of it for transforming their images with the added capabilities and restyle options.

Also, for the US audience, Google Photos will be bringing its first personalized templates as well.

Another notable AI feature that has been added is ‘Ask Photos’. It is introduced as a powerful tool which can allow users to find and search for things across the gallery using just natural language. From this week onward, this new tool will be rolled out in 100 countries, and can be accessed in 17 different languages. The ‘Ask’ button is also a similar feature like the ‘Ask Photos’ tool, and while the Ask Photos offers search functionality, the Ask button will be providing users with the details concerning an image or about something within the image.
